Another hot one. There was no breeze until I finished my walk. That made for a warm and sweaty walk. There were and equal number of walkers and bikers on the paths today.

The Ibis nursery by the kiddy water playground is about all the bird life I saw today. There was one Tri-color heron along the path to the boardwalk bridge. The gator was swimming toward the marina.

You will start to notice changes in the Fragrance Garden. The gardeners are moving some plants to new locations in the garden. This is preparation for the new Community Garden. The Community Garden, coming this fall, is part of the future Botanic Garden. Also, two of the three fountain in the garden are working. They are had to see because of the cattails.

 
 

It’s a hot one this morning. There was no breeze, no clouds and a lot of sweat. The park was quite when we arrived and was just beginning to get a little busy when we left.

The wading birds were no where to be seen. The Ibis were at their usual spot by the kiddy water playground. The turtle was by the creosote bridge. The cactus fruit photo was taken in the Fragrance Garden. They finished the path repairs in the Fragrance Garden. They are in the process of relocation one of the fountains in the lake in front of Riva Del Lago.

 
 
 
 

It’s a nice morning for a stroll in the park. It is mostly cloudy with a slight breeze to keep you cool. The park was on the quite side today, just a few bikers and some exercisers.

They are working on fixing some of the bad patches on the paths. They fixed the patch by the boat launch and some spots in the Fragrance Garden.

My favorite bird, the Swallowtail Kite, was working the tree tops in the park today. I took several shots and here are the best ones. Shooting birds on the wing is very difficult. The two immature Tri-color heron were trying to share the same branch.

The cactus in the Fragrance Garden are about to bloom and the starflower is opening.
